Therapy for Teens (Ages: 13-17)

A Spot to Engage

The teenage years are filled with challenges. They stem from building independence while finding a healthy balance between seeking relationships with family members and developing autonomy.

Individual Therapy for Teens (Ages 13-17)

Navigating mental health challenges, maintaining a good parent-child relationship, relationships with friends or significant others, academic stress, and managing substance use are only a few of the difficult tasks that are associated with the teenage years. Therefore, it can often be very helpful for your child to connect with an outside resource with which he or she can build a trusting relationship.

At Spot to Talk we are committed to building a supportive and non-judgmental relationship with your child to provide him/her with a safe space where they can communicate about the challenges they are experiencing. This unique confidential relationship that our therapists have the honor of building with your child, can provide the one-on-one environment needed for your child to honestly discuss the challenges they are facing and allow them to increase the skills needed to successfully navigate the teen years. While the information shared in these sessions is primarily confidential, our therapists will have routine communication with you and are always available for additional family therapy sessions as needed.

For Teens

We know that reaching out for help is not always easy, and you might not even know where to begin. We will be here to help as much as we can. All you need to do is fill out an interest form, and a Spot to Talk team member will reach out to you and your family within 48 hours to schedule your complimentary 15-minute consultation. If you are not sure how to let your parent(s)/guardian(s) know you are interested in therapy, a member of the Spot to Talk team can reach out to speak with them about your interest. If this is something you would like us to do, please fill out the relevant questions on the interest form and we will be sure to connect with your parent(s)/guardian(s) on your behalf.

If you need immediate support, please check out our resources page to connect with a 24-hour crisis support line if needed.
